As of Wednesday afternoon, Henderson Water Utility said the boil water advisory that was issued for South Green Street residents has been lifted.
Henderson Water Utility has issued a precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for a specific section of South Green Street encompassing the area between Fair Street and Rocks Road, as well as including Edds Alley, Yeaman Avenue, and Smith Avenue.
Henderson Water Utility is repairing a water main located at the intersection of Smith Avenue and South Green Street.
During a boil advisory, boil tap water or use bottled water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing your teeth, or washing dishes. To boil your water, run your faucets on cold for at least three minutes. Then fill a pot, boil the water for five minutes, and cool before using.
Continue boiling your water or using bottled water until the boil advisory is lifted. If your water appears discolored, run your faucets until the water clears.
The boil water advisory will be lifted after water line repairs are complete and the water passes quality tests.
