A Henderson man is accused of pointing a firearm at another person during a family disturbance on Friday afternoon.

Henderson Police Department responded to the third block of Third Street in reference to a family disturbance at 12:31 p.m. Friday. The victim told police that Kourtlyn Johnson, 23, pointed a firearm at their head after he attacked and strangled them.

The victim had minor injuries, according to police. The firearm was reported stolen from Indiana.

Johnson was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree strangulation. receiving stolen property (firearm), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence; minor injury) and third-degree terroristic threatening.

He was booked at the Henderson County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond.
