A Henderson man is accused of making threats at a local motel this weekend.
Henderson Police Department said they responded to the Sugar Creek Inn at 8:34 p.m. Friday in reference to a man making threats. Officers identified the man as William Richardson, 54, of Henderson.
Richardson had an active warrant for his arrest out of Muhlenberg County. Due to the severity of Richardson’s threats, the Henderson Emergency Response Team and Hostage Negotiation Team was activated to assist in apprehending Richardson.
Richardson was arrested and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening. He was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center, where he is being held on $2,500 cash bonds.
