The Colonels came away with a 58-52 win against the Mountain Brook Spartans from Birmingham, Alabama, from Colonel Gym in Henderson in the Faupel Automotive Chevy GMC Ford Colonel Basketball Classic.

The leading scorers for the Spartans tonight were Ty Davis with 19 points while Carson Romero had 7 points. John Carwie had 6 points while Mac Couvillon had 5 points. Jack Bakken had 5 points and 3 rebounds while Henry Huthman scored 4 points and 6 rebounds. Trey Davis had 3 points and 4 rebounds while Lawson Gardner had 3 points on the night.

The leading scorers for the Colonels tonight were Elijah Suggs with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks while Cooper Davenport had 14 points. Alec Satterfield had 9 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds while Nick Belle had 8 points. Lacon McKinney had 5 points while Max Thompson had 4 points. To round out the scoring, Trajdon Davis 2 points and 3 rebounds on the night.

The Spartans shot 2 for 4 (50%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 10 for 12 (83%).  The Spartans had a total of 21 rebounds while the Colonels had 27 total rebounds. The Spartans committed 12 turnovers to the Colonels committing 22 turnovers on the night.

The Colonels improve to (9-1) on the season while the Spartans fall to (13-5).
