An occupied mobile home caught fire on New Year’s Day in the 2300 block of Adams Lane.
The Henderson Fire Department said they were dispatched to the 2300 block of Adams Lane for a fire in a bedroom on Monday afternoon. Dispatch also said the home was fully involved and starting to collapse.
Henderson Fire Department said that everyone made it out of the structure and no injuries were reported.
The fire department knocked down the fire and had everything clear about five hours after first being dispatched.
While they were there, a fire prevention bus was brought to the scene for temporary shelter since some of the evacuated family members weren’t wearing shoes. The Red Cross was notified to provide further assistance to the family.
Fire officials told WSON that the incident is still under investigation. An assistant fire chief told WFIE that the fire was caused by a space heater.
