Two Evansville men arrested in connection with stolen vehicle


Two Evansville men were arrested Thursday in connection with a stolen vehicle.

Henderson Police Department located a stolen vehicle at On the Fly gas station at 9:14 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle was reported stolen from Evansville.

During the investigation, Derek Lamar, 23, and Seth Coomes, 21, both of Evansville, were arrested on multiple offenses related to the stolen property. They were also served active warrants.

Lamar was arrested for receiving stolen property, operating on a suspended license and failure to appear.

Coomes was arrested for receiving stolen property, giving an officer identifying information, theft of identity of another without consent, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and being a fugitive from another state.

Both men were lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center. Coomes is being held on a $2,500 bond, while Lamar is being held on a $500 bond.
