Crews will soon begin work at the future site of the first of three roundabouts at the Kentucky 351/Second Street interchange with I-69 as part of Section 1 of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing. A section of northbound KY 2084 is closing on or after Friday, February 2.
Northbound Kentucky 2084 from Airline Road/Kentucky 812 to Kentucky 351 will be closed through early June.
Phased construction at the intersection with Kentucky 351/2nd Street will allow crews to complete the majority of the western most roundabout to get it operational before school begins in the fall.
Kentucky 2084 will also be widened to allow for future two-way traffic.
A signed detour will be in place utilizing northbound Kentucky 2084 to northbound U.S. 41. Drivers will take Exit 14 (Ramp B) for access to Kentucky 351 from US 41 northbound. Southbound Kentucky 2084 will remain open from Kentucky 351 to Kentucky 812 but with a reduced lane width.
Kentucky 351 Lane Shifts
Drivers can expect lane shifts and reduced lane widths beginning on or after Friday, February 2 as all four lanes of Kentucky 351 move to the northern portion of the roadway for work to begin on the southern portion of Kentucky 351.
Lane shifts will be in place from Franklin Avenue to the on and off ramps of U.S. 41 west of the U.S. 41 overpass bridges. This lane configuration will be in place from early February through early July.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and stay alert. Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
