February is American Heart Month. Cardiovascular conditions impact more than 120 million Americans, making heart disease the leading cause of death in the United States.
Heart month is observed annually. It is an opportunity to learn more about your risk for developing heart disease. It serves as a reminder that taking care of your heart is an important part of a healthy lifestyle.
Knowing the risk factors for heart disease, along with how to address them, can decrease your individual risk for heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases, while improving your quality of life.
