Vehicle hits garage on Loeb Street; catches fire

Emergency officials responded to the 1500 block of Loeb Street on Friday morning after a vehicle crashed into a garage.

Henderson Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Chad Moore said the fire department was called out at 8:43 a.m. Friday to 1507 Loeb Street because a pickup truck had driven into an unattached garage.

The vehicle’s driver told officials that the truck had caught fire and he jumped out. The older model pickup truck then crashed into the garage. Moore said the driver was not injured.

Firefighters put out the fire and returned to the station at 9:35.  Henderson County Emergency Management Agency and Henderson Police Department also responded at the scene.
