Exit Ramps in Hopkins County to be Closed on Tuesday


MADISONVILLE, Ky. (July 1, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to complete ramp paving operations at the Interstate 69/Pennyrile Parkway/Western Kentucky Parkway interchange on Tuesday, July 2. Each of the ramps that was closed for paving last week will be closed one at a time for approximately one hour each to apply rumble strips and heat treatment to the new pavement.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. with each ramp being closed for approximately one hour. Work will proceed in the following order:

• Exit 106A – I-69 northbound to Pennyrile Parkway southbound
• Exit 34A – Pennyrile Parkway northbound to WK eastbound
• Exit 38C – WL westbound to I-69 northbound
• Exit 34C – Pennyrile Parkway northbound to I-69 southbound
• Exit 38B – WK westbound to Pennyrile Parkway southbound
• Exit 106B – I-69 southbound to WK eastbound

Engineers anticipate all work exit ramp work to be completed by 1 p.m. There will be no marked detour.

Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
