Viking Cruises will be docking their ship “Viking Mississippi” at the Henderson Riverfront along Second and Third Streets starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 9th.
City of Henderson Spokeswoman Holli Blanford said Viking Mississippi’s original plans included staying on the Mississippi River and traveling from New Orleans to St. Paul, Minnesota.
However, due to water levels on the Mississippi River, they had to make a detour on the Ohio River, which will bring them to Henderson for one day.
According to its website, the Viking Mississippi is a river ship built in 2022. It can carry a crew of 386 guests and 147 crew members.
