Lions Plan Arts and Crafts at Audubon State Park

Planning is underway for the 2024 edition of the Henderson Lions Arts and Crafts Festival at Audubon State Park. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6, at Audubon State Park in Henderson and more
than 100 vendors have signed up to show off their hand-made items.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and it will still cost only $5 to park your vehicle, the only fee you’ll pay to enter the park. Last year, nearly 5,000 people
attended the festival.

Last year, craft vendors displayed a wide variety of hand-made items including soaps and candles, framed prints, suncatchers, wood crafts, clothing, kitchen items, pottery, and seasonal holiday decorations. Food
vendors offered up tenderloins, chicken and dumplings, BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers and lemon shake-ups.

The cost for those who want to display and sell craft and food items this year is $135 for craft vendors and $190 for food vendors.

Applications for vendors are available at hendersonlions.org or the Henderson Lions FaceBook page. You may also contact the Lions at HendersonCityLions@gmail.com.

Payments may be sent to Henderson Lions, Box 842, Henderson, Ky. 20219.

Money raised by the club stays in Henderson to support eye conservation, including eyeglasses and eye surgeries for those who cannot afford them, eye screening for elementary school students, scholarships for local high school seniors and grants for non-profit organizations.

The festival has been around since the 1970’s when it started as the Big Rivers Arts and Crafts Festival and was taken over later by the Green River Area Development District. The Henderson Lions took over coordination of the event in 2015 and this will be the 9th time the club has overseen the event.
