Partnership of Women – referred to as POW! and pronounced like WOW! – has announced its 2024 grant finalists.
Finalists will be awarded at its annual dinner, which will be held on Thursday, August 15th at Farmer and Frenchman Winery. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. in the evening with dinner and presentations beginning at 6 p.m.
The three finalists are Infinite Hope, Boys and Girls Club, and Henderson Leadership Initiative. These three were chosen after POW! members made on-site visits and thoroughly reviewed all grant applications submitted during the open grant cycle.
The three finalists will give a short no frills presentation on why they should receive the largest impact grant. One $15,000 award will be given, and the runners up will receive $5,000 each based on votes of the members and tabulated by local accounting firm, Kemper CPA Group.
POW! Grants have awarded over $200,000 in thirteen years. POW! raises money through individual and group memberships and supporting operational sponsorships. Annually, about half the money raised is awarded to local non-profits in that grant year; the other half is invested in an endowment fund. This endowment will allow POW! to continue to give in perpetuity, increasing its future impact.
