PRINCETON, Ky. — Kentucky State Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting of a Tennessee trooper.
Tennessee Highway Trooper Adam Cothron of Putnam County, Tennessee conducted a traffic stop on I-40 near the Burgess Falls exit on Friday. During the interaction, Cothron was shot and two people fled in the vehicle had had stopped.
Cothron was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he was listed in stable condition.
Braze Rucker, 29, was identified as one of the vehicle occupants. The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation obtained warrants for his arrest.
KSP troopers located and arrested Rucker inside a Princeton, Kentucky residence.
KSP was assisted by the ATF, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Hopkinsville Police Department.
