The Webster County home of a local first responder couple was consumed by fire over the weekend.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page posted that Brian and Laura Russelburg’s home was burned down early Sunday morning in rural Webster County.
Their dog was killed in the fire, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office. Brian Russelburg suffered from smoke inhalation as he attempted to save the dog.
Brian Russelburg is a sergeant with the Union County Sheriff’s Office. Laura Russelburg is a dispatcher with Henderson County 911.
