Henderson Fire Department Battles Overnight Structure Fire

The Henderson Fire Department responded to an overnight structural fire on the 200 block of South Ingram St. around 4:30 am Saturday morning.

The fire was heavily involved upon the first crew’s arrival.

The Henderson Fire Department explained that due to the fire being heavily involved meaning that there was a high level of risk for the fire fighters. They had to perform a transitional fire attack to tackle the outdoor flames before moving on to an “interior fire attack/victim” search mode.

A battalion chief with the Henderson Fire Department says the home is a total loss. The Red Cross and the Henderson Emergency Managment Agency were contatcted.
