City to begin scheduled Fall street milling and paving

The city of Henderson will be starting milling the streets and alley of Henderson starting the week of Monday September 16th. This is for upcoming patching, paving, and repair projects around the city.

The estimated work time for these projects is around two to three weeks. But if weather conditions or other outside factors affect these projects the estimated work time schedule will be subject to change.

There will be temporary closures or delays that will occur while working on roads and alleys.

Here is the following roads that are going to be apart of the patching, paving, and repair projects.

  • 6th Street from North Adams to Lambert Street
  • 14th Street from North Elm to North Green Street
  • Frontier Drive from U.S. Highway 60 East to Tippecanoe Trail
  • Garden Mile Road from Airline Road to Archery Center’s gravel lot
  • Harding Avenue from North Green Street to North Adams Street
  • North Julia Street from 1st Street to Center Street
  • Spring Garden Road from 2nd Street to Heather Lane
  • Stadium Drive from Garden Mile Road to Gardengate Drive
  • Washington Street from McKinley Avenue to North Lincoln Avenue

It’s suggested by the city of Henderson for residents to best avoid the listed streets as much as possible. Residents will also be asked that their vehicles will be off the listed streets at around 6 am each day while the road and alley projects are being done.

If there is any road closures required, there will be detours set up alongside flaggers and signs that will direct the flow of traffic while construction is happening.
