Blue Tornado Tear Through Colonels

The Henderson County Colonels faced off against the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado on the road Friday night in Paducah.

The Colonels would suffer their 2nd loss of the season, 48-10, loss against the Blue Tornado.

Colonel senior quarterback Trajdon Davis was 8 for 19 with 142 yards and 1 touchdown pass on the night. Senior quarterback Trajdon Davis rushed 16 times with 31 rushing yards while senior running back Tony Burrus rushed 12 times for 34 yards on the night. Senior wide receiver Maxton Meadows had 2 receptions for 41 yards and 1 touchdown reception while sophomore tight end Christian Haygan had 2 receptions for 36 yards. Senior wide receiver Lacon McKinney had 2 receptions for 31 yards while senior running back Tony Burrus had 2 receptions for 34 yards on the night. Senior kicker Carson Weiss hit a 39 yard field goal on the night.

The Colonels had a few players come away some injuries and bumps and bruises including the quarterback Trajdon Davis with a shoulder injury.

The Colonels as a team, had 75 yards rushing and 142 yards passing for a total of 217 yards of offense on the night. The Colonel’s defense allowed the Blue Tornado to have 228 yards rushing and 329 passing yards for a total of 557 yards of total offense on the night, as the Colonels forced only 2 punts and allowed the Blue Tornado to get 20 first downs. The Colonels had 3 penalties for 30 yards while the Blue Tornado had 10 penalties for 90 yards on the night.

The Colonels (2-2) will take on the Owensboro Catholic Aces (4-0) at home this coming Friday night, September 20th, on Homecoming night with the kickoff set for 7:00 P.M.
