Betty Jo “Jody” (Roberts) Busby, 90, of Henderson, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at Redbanks Skilled Nursing Facility in Henderson.
She was born in Henderson on August 7, 1934 to the late Isaac and Ada (Garrett) Roberts.
Jo, a retiree from Osborne Manufacturing, was an active and beloved member of Bennett Memorial UMC and a proud Red Hatter. She had a passion for gardening, creating delicious meals—especially desserts—and was an enthusiastic participant in the Senior Bowling League. An avid walker, Jo embraced an active lifestyle and found joy in staying connected with her community and nature.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Nell Crowder and brother Jimmy Roberts.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Walter Busby; two children, Duane Busby of Evansville and Tim Busby of Chandler, Arizona; one brother, Gene Roberts (Lenora) of Henderson; two grandchildren, Alexandra Busby and Jackson Busby; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. E.J. Simmons officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday 10:00 AM until service time.
