The Henderson County Colonels faced off against the McCracken County Mustangs on the road last night.

The Colonels would suffer their 5th loss of the season, 59-57, against the Mustangs.

Colonel sophomore quarterback Brody Belt was 12 for 17 with 205 yards and 4 touchdown passes on the night. Senior running back Tony Burrus rushed 31 times for 282 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns on the night. Senior wide receiver Lacon McKinney had 3 receptions for 93 yards and 3 touchdown receptions while sophomore tight end Christian Haygan had 2 receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown reception on the night.

The Colonels as a team, had 296 yards rushing and 205 yards passing for a total of 501 yards of offense on the night. The Colonel’s defense allowed the Mustangs to have 204 yards rushing and 421 passing yards for a total of 625 yards of total offense on the night, as the Colonels forced 1 punt, only 1 fumble, and allowed the Mustangs to get 23 first downs. The Colonels had 8 penalties for 75 yards while the Mustangs had 11 penalties for 87 yards on the night.

The Colonels (2-5) will be at home to take on the Daviess County Panthers (1-6) next Friday night, October 18th, with the kickoff set for 7:00 P.M.
