UPDATE: Henderson County Water District lifts boil water advisory

Henderson County Water District has lifted a boil water advisory for customers in the area of Kentucky 1299 and Kentucky 416 -W. This includes Ed Oatey and Hunters Lane.
Customers may resume normal use and no longer need to boil or disinfect their water used for human consumption.
Residents are advised to flush their cold water taps for a few minutes following the lifting of a boil order in order to clear plumbing of air. Flushing your household and building water lines includes interior and exterior faucets; showers; water and ice dispensers.

Henderson County Water District said it is undertaking necessary repairs to the water main on Kentucky 1299. Water service for the customers in this area will be interrupted as part of this work.

This will result in a loss of water service for the customers from 9260 Kentucky 416-W to 10029 Kentucky 416-W. This includes all of Kentucky 1299 from the chicken farm on Kentucky 1299 to Kentucky 416-W, also including all of Hunters Lane and Ed Oatey Road.

Henderson County Water District said it will make every effort to make the loss of service and repairs as quick as possible. When water service is restored, this area will be under a Boil Water Advisory.

Please boil any water used for human consumption for 3-5 minutes at a rolling boil. A second notice will be issued when the boil water advisory is lifted.

Henderson County Water District Superintendent Mark Julian said the district apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding.
