The Henderson County Colonels faced off against the Owensboro Red Devils at home last night on senior night, in which the Colonels suffered their 6th loss of the season against the Red Devils, 28-14.

Colonel sophomore quarterback Brody Belt was 5 for 18 with 35 yards on the night. Senior running back Tony Burrus rushed 28 times for 212 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns on the night.

The Colonels as a team, had 229 yards rushing and 35 yards passing for a total of 264 yards of offense on the night. The Colonel’s defense allowed the Red Devils to have 285 yards rushing and 134 passing yards for a total of 419 yards of total offense on the night, as the Colonels forced 2 fumbles and recovered 1, forced only 2 punts, and allowed the Red Devils to get 19 first downs. The Colonels had 15 penalties for 120 yards while the Red Devils had 8 penalties for 80 yards on the night.

The Colonels (4-6) will be at home for the opening round of the Class 6A Playoffs to take on the Barren County Trojans (8-2) next Friday night, November 8th, with the kickoff set for 7:00 P.M.
