Boil water advisory issued after water main break on U.S. 41-A

Henderson, KY, USA / WSON AM & FM

Henderson County Water District has issued a boil water advisory after a major water main break on U.S. 41-Alternate near Dixon Road #1 on Tuesday afternoon.

This incident is unrelated to the scheduled water outage and work on B.F. Overfield Road on Tuesday morning.

Henderson County Water District received a call about a water leak near Dixon Road #1 and U.S, 41-A around noon Tuesday. To complete the repair, hydrants were opened to relieve pressure and allow crews to install a repair clamp.

Due to the location of this break, and the lack of existing valves to isolate the affected area, a large number of customers unfortunately experienced low water pressure or loss of water service entirely.
