Henderson Police Department have arrested a man accused of robbing a convenience store this weekend.
Bernard J. Roberts, 29, of Henderson, has been charged with first-degree robbery.
Henderson Police were called to the scene of an armed robbery at the Circle K in the 900 block of Barrett Boulevard at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Police said that a clerk had been robbed at gunpoint.
A witness reported seeing the suspect, later identified as Roberts, running into a nearby business after the robbery.
AT 4:39 p.m. Saturday, officers located Roberts and took him into custody without incident. Roberts was in possession of a loaded handgun when he was arrested, according to police.
Roberts was arrested and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
