Director of Finance for Henderson County Schools Director of Finance Cindy Cloutier has received the Goldenrod Outstanding School Business Official Award.
The Kentucky Association of School Business Officials give this award annually to an individual who best represents exemplary practices and standards of school business in a Kentucky public school district. This award goes to just one school business official in the commonwealth.
“Cindy Cloutier is not only an outstanding Finance Director, but a driven and knowledgeable individual,” said HCS Account Clerk Tina Moore. “Her focus and attention to detail is impressive. She works diligently to make sure every detail is taken care of and that it is following the highest accounting practices.”
Cloutier has been with Henderson County Schools for the past 36 years. Her positions have included accounting supervisor, financial and benefits analyst, and director of finance for the past 11 years. She was nominated for this award by HCS Superintendent Dr. Bob Lawson, coworkers, and colleagues from the state and local levels.
“Long-term financial planning is a strength of Cindy’s and we are fortunate to have her skill set for our district,” said Dr. Lawson. “She understands the direct correlation between financial decisions and the quality of education and advocates for investments that will positively impact student outcomes. Every decision she makes can be directly connected to student achievement and making our mission of providing extraordinary education happen. She is a purposeful leader that I am honored to have on my team.”
Cloutier was recognized at the state KASBO conference and will be recognized locally on December 16th at the Board of Education meeting. She will represent Kentucky at the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials conference later this year.
