The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a 7 point win, 47-40, against the Christian County Lady Colonels at home last night.
The leading scorers for Christian County was NeVaeh Day with 15 points and 9 rebounds while Lazarie Daniel had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Genesis McGee had 7 points and 6 rebounds while Anaysia Bagwell had 6 points and 5 rebounds. To round out the scoring, DaNiya Bradley scored 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds on the night.
The leading scorers for Henderson County was A’Tylia Green with 13 points and 7 rebounds while Brooklyn Gibson had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Anna Kemp had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists while Allyson Rideout had 8 points and 6 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Addy Gish tallied 7 points and 4 rebounds on the night.
Christian County shot 6 for 11 (55%) from the free throw line to Henderson County who was 11 for 18 (61%). Christian County shot 4 for 16 (25%) from behind the three point line to Henderson County who was 4 for 11 (36%). Christian County had a total of 42 rebounds while Henderson County had 36 total rebounds in the game. Henderson County recorded 8 steals, 9 assists, and 5 blocks. Christian County committed 16 turnovers to Henderson County committing 19 turnovers on the night.
Henderson County improves to (3-1) on the season while Christian County falls to (2-2). Henderson’s next game is this Saturday afternoon, December 14th, at McCracken County High School against Cardinal Ritter College Prep from St. Louis Missouri in the Holiday Hoopla Classic at 3:30 P.M.
