Sandra Brown
Sandra Brown, age 77, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 at Homeplace of Henderson.
Sandy worked for BellSouth Phone Company for more than 20 years before retiring in the late 1990s. After retirement, she cherished traveling and spending time with her husband, the one true love of her life. She had a deep love for all animals, especially her beloved dogs, Bandit and Ellie. Sandy also found great joy om being an active part of her grandchildren’s lives. She was always there to support them, ensuring they felt her unwavering presence at every milestone and special moment.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents William and Bernadine Thomas, husband Danny Brown, and her brother Jimmy Thomas.
Sandy is survived by her son Keith Brown (Lisa) of Henderson, KY; sister Susie Thomas of Henderson, KY; brother Dennis Thomas (Shirley) of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Haley Brunner (Walker), Zachary Brown, and Mason Brown (Victoria); great-grandchildren: Dansby Brunner, Hattie Jane Brunner, Baby Boy Brunner on the way, Sophia Brown, Sadie Brown, Sandi Brown, Paxley Brown, and Quinton Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sandy’s Life Celebration from 10:00 am until the service time on Saturday December 14th, 2024, at Finley Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the church with Reverend Jeff Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
Frank Dale Jenkins
Frank Dale Jenkins, age 92, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 5:20 am on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, at Cypress Grove in Newburgh, IN.
Frank proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years. He was a master paratrooper and served time in Korea and Vietnam. Frank never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor with a different joke every day. His love Betty went to heaven in August and now they can be reunited just in time for Christmas, their favorite holiday.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Lee Jenkins, his wife of 65 years Betty Jenkins, and his siblings: Paul Jenkins, Don Jenkins, Francis Jenkins, and Steve Jenkins.
Frank is survived by his son Bill Jenkins and wife Patty of Henderson, KY; sister Carol Cummings of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Joey Jenkins, Maranda Harre and husband Lucas, Brittani Gray, and Charity Hoggard; and great-grandchildren: Maddox, Max, Gage, Noah, and Evelyn.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregiver Tonya Jones and Heart to Heart Hospice in Newburgh, IN.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at Fairmount Cemetery in Henderson, KY with Reverend Chuck Summers officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
