The Colonels came away with a 27 point victory against the Dawson Springs Panthers, 63-36, at home on Saturday night.
The leading scorers for the Panthers was Rex Blue with 11 points and 4 rebounds while Jayden Plunkette had 11 points and 7 rebounds. Montgomery Johnston had 6 points while Deacon Dever had 6 points and 3 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Easton Bourland tallied 2 points and 5 rebounds on the night.
The leading scorers for the Colonels tonight was Cooper Davenport with 20 points while Elijah Suggs scored 9 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots. Lacon McKinney had 8 points and 8 rebounds while Trajdon Davis had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Xavion Johnson had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Dwaine Moss had 5 points and 4 assists while Amare Stewart had 3 points. Cole Branson scored 2 points and added 3 rebounds and 5 assists while Klay Hall had 2 points and 2 rebounds on the night.
The Panthers shot 7 for 24 (29%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 9 for 18 (50%). The Panthers shot 1 for 5 (20%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 6 for 9 (67%). The Panthers had a total of 25 rebounds while the Colonels had 37 total rebounds. The Colonels tallied 17 assists, 7 steals, and 3 blocks. The Panthers committed 10 turnovers to the Colonels committing 8 turnovers on the night.
The Colonels improve to (4-2) on the season while the Panthers fall to (1-3).
