The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a 26 point win, 57-31, against the Mater Dei Lady Wildcats on the road last night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Wildcats was Addi Boots with 7 points while Izzy Like had 7 points as well. Leah Heldman had 7 points and 6 rebounds while Addison Collins had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Rhyan Wagner scored 2 points and recorded 3 assists while Hallie Dickerson had 2 points on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was Brooklyn Gibson with 19 points while Allyson Rideout had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Addy Gish had 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists while A’Tylia Green had 4 points and 5 assists. Rashia Cansler tallied 4 points while NeVaeh Dixon had 3 points and 3 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Anna Kemp added 2 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists on the night.
The Lady Wildcats shot 10 for 14 (71%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 9 for 10 (90%). The Lady Wildcats shot 1 for 13 (8%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 2 for 8 (25%). The Lady Wildcats had a total of 25 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 29 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 10 steals, 15 assists, and 2 blocks. The Lady Wildcats committed 18 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 7 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (5-1) on the season while the Lady Wildcats fall to (5-6). The Colonels next game is tomorrow night, December 19th, at home against the Castle Lady Knights from Newburgh, Indiana, with the tipoff at 7:00 P.M.
