A local man who was shot this weekend during an incident on Cumnock Street has died from his injuries.
Henderson Police Department confirmed Thursday that the victim had passed away. The agency said no further information was available at this time.
It was previously reported that police were called to the area of the 1200 block of Cumnock Street for a report of multiple shots being fired around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14th. Officers arrived and located the victim.
The victim had a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
During a canvas of the neighborhood, investigators located video footage of at least one person firing a handgun. The shooter was with several other individuals prior to firing their handgun.
After the shots were fired, the group left in different directions on foot.
