The Colonels suffered their 3rd loss of the season against the Evansville North Huskies, 53-43, on the road in the Bosse Classic at Bosse High School in Evansville yesterday morning.
The leading scorers for the Huskies was Bryson Chapman with 17 points and 6 rebounds while Kellen English had 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Seab Johnson had 7 points and 3 assists while Sena Gore had 6 points. Lance Smith scored 5 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and recorded 4 assists while Ayan Patel had 3 points. To round out the scoring, Carson Cashmer tallied 3 points and 4 rebounds on the day.
The leading scorers for the Colonels was Lacon McKinney with 12 points and 3 rebounds while Cooper Davenport scored 11 points. Xavion Johnson had 7 points and 5 rebounds while Elijah Suggs had 6 points and 2 blocks. Cole Branson had 3 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. Dwaine Moss had 2 points and 3 steals while Trajdon Davis had 2 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds on the day.
The Huskies shot 4 for 14 (29%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 4 for 15 (27%). The Huskies shot 17 for 27 (63%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 9 for 12 (75%). The Huskies had a total of 32 rebounds while the Colonels had 16 total rebounds. The Colonels tallied 11 assists, 7 steals, and 4 blocks. The Huskies committed 14 turnovers to the Colonels committing 8 turnovers on the day.
The Colonels fall to (5-3) on the season while the Huskies improve to (2-3).
