Paul Henry Wilson, age 73, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

 

Paul was a retired police officer and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police for the City of Henderson. He then worked as a security guard for St. Vincent Hospital and Big Rivers. Later he was employed and retired from Toyota Manufacturing Company. Paul was a member of Waters Edge Church which was formerly Waston Lane Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher. His passion in life was to teach and bring people to Christ, serving as a missionary, and handing out Bibles in other countries. One of his favorite places to visit was Aruba.

 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents James E. and Della Wilson, brother James E. “Jock” Wilson, Jr., daughter Sherry Denise Wilson, and his niece Tina Barron.

 

Paul is survived by his daughter Jennifer Tamayo of Morganfield, KY; 2 grandchildren Addison Tamayo and Mason Tamayo; sisters: Zadie Barron (Mike) of Glassco, KY, Edna Wall of Henderson, KY, Charlotte Cates (Richie) of Corydon, KY, Pam White (Kriss) of Henderson, KY, and Stacy Roberts (Rodney) of Henderson, KY; brother Jeff Wilson (Jinger) of Henderson, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Paul’s Life Celebration from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the funeral home with Dr. Ron Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Webster County, KY.
