Henry Ray Boswell, age 97, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at River Pointe Health Center in Evansville, IN.

Ray was a proud United States Air Force veteran and served during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and a long time co-owner of T&T Drugstore in Henderson, where he was a pharmacist for his entire career. Ray was raised on a farm and stayed involved in farming his entire life. He was a devoted and active member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church, serving on many boards and committees. He served on Board of Directors of the United Methodist Hospital of Henderson for over twenty five years and was a founding member of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Ray was an avid and diehard UK fan. He built fine furniture in his woodshop and spent many hours on the golf course with friends and family. There was nothing he could not fix and no problem he could not solve. He was a trusted mentor to family and colleagues.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Henry Wayne and Annie Mitchell Boswell, his wife Gladys Davis Boswell, sisters Martine Boswell Cossler and Catherine Boswell Tabor, and his beloved grandson Johan Lukas Coumou.

Ray is survived by his wife Mary Boswell of Henderson, KY; daughters Susan Boswell Coumou of Las Vegas, NV and Carolyn Boswell Wetterer (Bill) of Louisville, KY; son Michael Wayne Boswell (Tamara) of Atlanta, GA; step-daughters Cathy Fruit (Gaylon) of Tallahassee, FL and Rosemary Guffy (Mike) of Brentwood, TN; step-sons: Sam Manci (Linda) of Wimauma, FL, Tony Manci (Nena) of Franklin, TN, Paul Manci (Beth) of North Augusta, SC, and Lew Manci (Sarah) of Columbus, IN; grandchildren: Laura Mae Wetterer, Claire Anne Wetterer, Henry Davis Boswell, and William Barnes Boswell; 15 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ray’s visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Thomas N. Tabor officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY.

Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
