UPDATE: Henderson County Water District has extended the planned water outage in the Smith Mills area.
The original work schedule for Monday was not able to be completed, said Superintendent Mark Julian. Customers will be under a boil water advisory, and the work is rescheduled to start at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Henderson County Water District has announced a planned water service outage for about 100 customers in Smith Mills on Monday.
The Henderson County Water District said it will be doing necessary maintenance on Monday, Jan. 27th, which will require shutting down water service for customers in the area of Highway 359 in Smith Mills.
The areas that will be affected include Highway 136 to 7055 Highway 359 all side streets which will include 13028 – 13801 Gabhart Latta and 13501 – 13230 Ranch Road, 13028-13801 Utley Road and 25-325 Combs Road in Smith Mills.
Water will be off for approximately eight hours. The service work is expected to begin at 8 a.m. Monday.
Henderson County Water District said it will make every effort to minimize the amount of time customers are without water. The district said it appreciates its customers’ patience and understanding.
When customers have their water service restored, they will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
