The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a, 53-26, win against 6th District rival the Webster County Lady Trojans at home last night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Trojans was Hannah Yates with 12 points and 7 rebounds while Jaycie Wright had 10 points and 9 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Alyssa Cartwright added 4 points on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was Allyson Rideout with 18 points and 6 rebounds while Brooklyn Gibson had 13 points and 3 steals. Addy Gish had 8 points, 5 assists and 5 steals while A’Tylia Green had 6 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Azayah Hall had 5 points while Jersey Gardner tallied 2 points. To round out the scoring, Callie Burnett added 1 point on the night.
The Lady Trojans shot 5 for 9 (56%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 5 for 6 (83%). The Lady Trojans shot 3 for 7 (43%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 8 for 29 (28%). The Lady Trojans had a total of 28 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 24 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 18 assists, 19 steals, and 5 blocks. The Lady Trojans committed 30 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 7 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (14-3) on the season while the Lady Trojans fall to (7-11).
