The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a, 62-24, win against 6th District rival the Union County Bravettes on the road last night.
The leading scorers for the Bravettes was Paige Steward with 15 points and 4 rebounds while Aspen Davis had 9 points and 3 rebounds on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was Allyson Rideout with 14 points and 4 rebounds while A’Tylia Green had 14 points and 7 steals. Brooklyn Gibson had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists while Rashia Cansler had 7 points, 6 steals, and 4 assists. Anna Kemp had 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals while Azayah Hall tallied 6 points. Addy Gish had 2 points while Callie Burnett added 2 points on the night.
The Bravettes shot 8 for 9 (89%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 5 for 5 (100%). The Bravettes shot 2 for 5 (40%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 9 for 17 (53%). The Bravettes had a total of 19 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 20 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 14 assists, 24 steals, and 1 block. The Bravettes committed 34 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 13 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (15-3) on the season while the Bravettes fall to (11-6).
