The Colonels came away with a win against 6th District rival the Union County Braves, 56-46, on the road on Friday night.
The leading scorers for the Braves was Cameron Miller with 13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks while Jaidyn Wilson had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Daishawn Curry had 7 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds while Cale Johnson had 6 points. Cortayvion Rapier tallied 6 points while Jace Wilson added 2 points on the night.
The leading scorers for the Colonels was Cooper Davenport with 17 points and 3 steals while Elijah Suggs scored 12 points and recorded 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Lacon McKinney had 11 points, 3 steals, and 3 rebounds while Dwaine Moss had 9 points and 3 steals. To round out the scoring, Xavion Johnson added 7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks on the night.
The Braves shot 2 for 9 (22%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 4 for 8 (50%). The Braves shot 4 for 8 (50%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 16 for 20 (80%). The Braves had a total of 27 rebounds while the Colonels had 24 total rebounds. The Colonels tallied 11 assists, 10 steals, and 10 blocks. The Braves committed 11 turnovers to the Colonels committing 7 turnovers on the night.
The Colonels improve to (13-4) on the season while the Braves fall to (9-6).
