The Colonels came away with a, 59-38, win against the Lyon County Lyons at home on Senior Night last night.
The leading scorers for the Lyons was Bray Kirk with 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 steals while Nolan Coffman had 12 points and 4 rebounds. Isaac Defew had 7 points and 8 rebounds while Korben Lucas had 2 points and 3 steals on the night.
The leading scorers for the Colonels was Lacon McKinney with a career high 26 points and grabbed 4 rebounds while Cooper Davenport scored 11 points and recorded 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Elijah Suggs had 10 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks while Xavion Johnson had 6 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Trajdon Davis tallied 2 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists while Amare Stewart added 2 points. To round out the scoring, Braden Williams had 2 points on the night.
The Lyons shot 4 for 20 (20%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 3 for 12 (25%). The Lyons shot 10 for 15 (67%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 0 for 3 (0%). The Lyons had a total of 30 rebounds while the Colonels had 42 total rebounds. The Colonels tallied 20 assists, 6 steals, and 8 blocks. The Lyons committed 11 turnovers to the Colonels committing 19 turnovers on the night.
The Colonels improve to (16-5) on the season while the Lyons fall to (16-6).
