The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a, 69-24, win against the Union County Bravettes at home on Friday night.
The leading scorers for the Bravettes was Paige Steward with 9 points and 3 rebounds while Bri Bell had 6 points. Addison Tamayo tallied 5 points and 3 rebounds while Aspen Davis added 3 points. To round out the scoring, Karley Byrd contributed 1 point on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was A’Tylia Green with 15 points, 5 assists, and 6 steals while Allyson Rideout had 11 points, 3 steals, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. Addy Gish had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals while Brooklyn Gibson had 8 points and 4 rebounds. Azayah Hall had 8 points and 3 rebounds while Rashia Cansler tallied 5 points. Jersey Gardner added 4 points while Anna Kemp added 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. JaNyla Locher had 2 points while Bella Estabrook added 2 points. To round out the scoring, Maggee Melvin had 2 points on the night.
The Bravettes shot 7 for 13 (54%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 7 for 16 (44%). The Bravettes shot 1 for 5 (20%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 6 for 20 (30%). The Bravettes had a total of 16 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 30 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 15 assists, 21 steals, and 2 blocks. The Bravettes committed 23 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 7 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (20-4) on the season while the Bravettes fall to (13-8).
