Henderson Police Department have arrested a Henderson man on an active warrant for sexual abuse after he allegedly tried to break into a home Wednesday.
Police were called to a home in the 600 block of Canoe Creek Drive at around 6 a.m. Wednesday for a reported break-in in progress. The caller told 911 that a family member who did not live in the home was attempting to gain entry, according to a news release from the Henderson Police Department.
Officers arrived and located Johnathin Pye, 33, of Henderson.
While investigating the incident, officers learned Pye had an active warrant in Henderson County for first-degree sexual Abuse (victim under 12 years of age).
He was taken into custody without incident. No charges were filed in connection to the original 911 call.
Pye was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center on the listed warrant.
