Colonels With Big Win Against Bowling Green

The Colonels came away with a, 63-57, win against the Bowling Green Purples at home Monday night.

The leading scorers for the Purples was Joe Hurt with 15 points and 3 rebounds while Luke Idlett had 14 points. Jace Wardlow had 10 points while Kadyn Carpenter had 9 points. Braylon Banks had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists while Arlando Davis added 1 point on the night.

The leading scorers for the Colonels was Cooper Davenport with 19 points and 3 assists while Lacon McKinney scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Elijah Suggs had 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 assists while Xavion Johnson had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Dwaine Moss tallied 5 points while Amare Stewart contributed 5 points. To round out the scoring, Trajdon Davis added 2 points on the night.

The Purples shot 8 for 21 (38%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 4 for 6 (67%). The Purples shot 3 for 6 (50%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 9 for 12 (75%). The Purples had a total of 13 rebounds while the Colonels had 26 total rebounds. The Colonels tallied 15 assists, 5 steals, and 5 blocks. The Purples committed 6 turnovers to the Colonels committing 13 turnovers on the night.

The Colonels improve to (20-6) on the season while the Purples fall to (21-6).
