The Union County Bravettes came away with a, 53-34, win against the Webster County Lady Trojans in the semifinals of the 6th District Tournament from Morganfield last night. The Bravettes advance to tonight’s championship game against the Henderson County Lady Colonels with the tipoff set for 7 P.M. in Morganfield.
The leading scorers for the Lady Trojans was Calleigh Harper with 6 points while Karsyn Cates had 5 points and 6 rebounds. Jaycie Wright tallied 5 points and 8 rebounds while Addi Wright added 5 points and 5 rebounds. Alyssa Cartwright had 4 points while Josie Cardwell contributed 4 points. Adleigh Tapp tallied 3 points while Kyleigh Kromer added 2 points on the night.
The leading scorers for the Bravettes was Bri Bell with 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists while Paige Steward had 13 points. Addi Tomayo had 8 points and 9 rebounds while Aspen Davis had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Dana Curry had 4 points and 11 rebounds while Lauren Nicolas tallied 4 points. Pehtyn Courtney had 2 points while Miley Mendoza added 1 point on the night.
The Lady Trojans shot 7 for 19 (37%) from the free throw line to the Bravettes who were 15 for 26 (58%). The Lady Trojans shot 1 for 11 (9%) from behind the three point line to the Bravettes who were 4 for 13 (31%). The Lady Trojans had a total of 37 rebounds while the Bravettes had 40 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Trojans committed 21 turnovers to the Bravettes who committed 19 turnovers on the night.
The Bravettes improve to (16-10) on the season while the Lady Trojans end their season with a (11-19) record.
