Isaac H. “Ike” Potts, Jr.

 

Isaac H. “Ike” Potts, Jr., age 79, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

 

Ike was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran after serving as Sergeant and an avid outdoorsman. He worked for Deig Brothers Lumber and Construction and was a proud union member during his entire working career at UA Local #136 Plumbers & Pipefitters. He was also a member of the Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No 9 F&AM. Ike had unwavering love for his family and also enjoyed woodworking.

 

In addition to his parents, Isaac (Sr.) and Maxine Potts, he was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Potts.

 

Ike is survived by his son, Daniel Potts (Amber) of Henderson, KY; and his grandchildren, David Potts and Rhiannon Potts, also of Henderson, KY.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Ike’s Life Celebration from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Masonic Service rendered by Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No 9 F&AM at 6:00 pm on Tuesday and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY with Father Daniel Dillard officiating. Burial will follow at Cash Creek Cemetery in Niagara, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Tonya K. Powell

 

Tonya K. Powell, age 60, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN, surrounded by her family.

 

Tonya was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Sunspring America formerly known as Gamco Products after 13 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, and playing cards. Tonya loved being a Gigi and was very active in her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed being able to pick them up from school, babysitting them, and attending all of their sporting events. Family was Tonya’s main priority in life.

 

Tonya was preceded in death by her father Earnest Tinnell and her brother-in-law Eric Denton.

 

Tonya is survived by her husband of 15 years Darrell W. Powell of Henderson, KY; daughters Keri Hillyard and her husband Jason of Corydon, KY and Paula Capote and her husband Felix of Florida; sons Joshua Davis of Henderson, KY and Darrell T. Powell and his wife Jessica of Henderson, KY; mother Linda McCallister and her husband Lloyd of Tell City, IN; sister Sylena Denton of Corydon, KY; brothers Earnest Tinnell and wife Maria of Geneva, KY and Robert Tinnell of Henderson, KY; grandchildren Kaleb and Marlee Hillyard.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Tonya’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Tuesday, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Darrell T. Powell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson, KY.

Logan Thomas Tipton

 

Logan Thomas Tipton, age 45, of Marshall, IL, passed away at 7:45 am, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN after a very short bout with pneumonia.

 

Logan was born in Owensboro, KY, on October 3rd, 1979. He graduated from Henderson County High School in 1998. He lived in several towns in Indiana and Illinois over the years. Logan worked at ZF Active, Inc in Marshall, IL, formerly TRW, for the last 12 years. He was currently working as a customer service representative. He was very dedicated to his job, and he deeply loved his children and family as they were his priority. He enjoyed growing and maintaining indoor plants and debating deep subjects.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother Rhonda Gail Welch and grandmother Mary Dell Welch.

 

Logan is survived by his daughter, Ahnna Isabella Tipton; sons, Harrison Glenn Tipton and Kellan Wilder Tipton; father, Glenn Tipton (Liz) of Henderson, KY; sisters, Melissa Kaye Tipton (Richelle Davidson) of St. Louis, MO and Autumn Renee Caudill of Lexington, KY; stepbrother, Richard Dale Buckman of Newburgh, IN; his girlfriend, Megan DiBartolomeo of Chesterfield, VA; his children’s mother, Alissa R. Tipton of Newburgh, IN; grandparents, Patsy Jeanette Tipton and Thomas Ray Tipton of Owensboro; many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Logan’s Life Celebration from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and again on Thursday starting at 12:00 p.m. until the service time at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at funeral home with Reverend Dan Book officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
