Boil water advisory lifted for Anthosten area

Henderson, KY, USA / WSON AM & FM

UPDATE: Henderson County Water District has lifted the boil water advisory for section of Highway 136 East in Anthoston affecting over 30 customers.
Henderson County Water District is working to repair a water main break near the Kentucky 136-East overpass over I -69 in Anthoston.
To repair the main, the main break must be isolated. Water service will be interrupted for the following customers: 9980 to 12050 Kentucky 136-E.
When water service is restored, these customers will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Please flush cold water taps for 3-5 minutes and boil any water used for human consumption. This is done as a precaution to protect customers.
HCWD said it will make every effort to limit the amount of time customers will be without water.
They expect to pull samples to start the process of getting the boil water advisory lifted after adequate flushing and sufficient free chlorine residuals are recorded. Depending on lab results, they can expect to try to get DEP approval to lift the boil water advisory hopefully by Sunday.
If you have any questions, please call Henderson County Water District at (270) 826-9802 during business hours.
