Traffic is expected to shift this week and begin using new roadway at the new US 60 interchange. The shift is expected to be in place by early evening on Thursday, April 24.
Traffic will be utilizing the outside lane of all three roundabouts under construction. Shifting traffic to the new pavement allows crews more room to work as they continue to build the new US 60 interchange.
Lane restrictions will be in place on Thursday to complete paving and other activities needed to complete the traffic switch. US 60 will be reduced to one lane and controlled with flaggers between Wathen Lane and Morris Drive. Lane restrictions are expected from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and avoid distractions as they adjust to new traffic patterns. All schedules are dependent on the weather and other factors and are subject to change.
