Tony E. Dickens

 

Tony E. Dickens, age 62, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home.

 

Tony was a hard worker. He worked as a member of Sabic Innovative Plastics for almost 45 years. Tony was a lifelong member of Christ Gospel Church in Evansville. He was a loving husband, father, and “Poppy” to his grandbabies.

 

Tony was preceded in death by his parents Virgel and Shirley Dickens and his sister Kathy Wininger.

 

Tony is survived by his wife of 35 years Judith Dickens of Henderson, KY; daughter Tiffany Meredith of Henderson, KY; sons Kyle Dickens (Nicole) and Cory Dickens (Emma) both of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Mabrey, Hudson, Ryder, Brady, Lincoln, Cameron, Garrett, and Kendall; aunts Wanda Bivens and Leona Norman both of Evansville, IN; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Tony’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday, at Christ Gospel Church in Evansville, IN. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the church with Reverend Sharon Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY.

Judy Marie Slaughter

 

Judy Marie Slaughter, age 79, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at her son’s home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

 

Judy was a faithful woman of God and was an active long-term member of Henderson First Baptist Church. She was a dedicated and caring individual devoted to her family. Judy spent hours and hours at the Gathering Place playing cards and being social with her friends. She never met a stranger and was friendly to anyone she met.

 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Vivian Ohler, her husband Donnie Slaughter, and her daughter Tracy Critser.

 

Judy is survived by her sons Michael T. Coffman of Henderson, KY and Chris Coffman (Beverly) of Corydon, KY; step-children Troy Slaughter (Susan) of Newburgh, IN and Tina B. Hoover of Hanson, KY; grandchildren: Caleb Coffman (Emily), Amanda Duncan, and Jed Duncan (Maddy); step-grandchildren Lauren Slaughter (Dan) and Trey Slaughter (Yen-Ling); great-grandchildren: Madilyn, Nash, and Hazel; step-great-grandchildren Leon and Ada.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Judy’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Sam Hinkson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
