HENDERSON, KY, April 30, 2025– The City of Henderson has extended the current Wathen Lane road closure.
The extension is due to weather-related delays that have impacted the contractor’s ability to complete the scheduled work on time.
The road, originally set to reopen on April 30, 2025, is now expected to reopen on Monday, May 19, 2025, weather permitting.
The closure affects the portion of Wathen Lane between Wolf Hills Boulevard and the entrance to the Braxton Park subdivision. During this period, access will be limited to local traffic only.
Residents of the Braxton Park neighborhood should note that the subdivision entrance will not be accessible from U.S. 60 via Wathen Lane until the road reopens. Alternative access routes should be used during this time.
The City of Henderson said it appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as this work continues. Updates will be provided if weather or other factors cause additional delays.
