City of Henderson to begin milling streets and alleys the week of May 12th


The City of Henderson will begin milling streets and alleys the week of May 12th, 2025, in preparation for patching, paving and repair projects.

Work will be done over the next two to three weeks, but the schedule is subject to change as it is influenced by weather conditions and other factors.

Temporary closures and/or delays may occur during construction. It may be best to avoid these streets where possible. Residents are asked to have all vehicles moved from the street by 6 a.m. each day until the work is completed.

If road closures are required, detours will be set up. There will be flaggers and/or signs to direct traffic during construction.

Here is a list of public streets/areas on the work list:

  • Fagan Street from Clay Street to Meadow Street
  • O’Byrne Street from Meadow Street to Mill Street
  • Russell Drive from Old Madisonville Road to Country Drive
  • Turnagain Drive from Old Madisonville Road to 1755 Turnagain Drive
  • North and South Downey Drive from Turnagain Drive to the end of the road
  • Sand Lane from South Green Street to South Main Street
  • Bittersweet Lane from Heather Lane to 513 Bittersweet Lane
  • SportPlex parking lot will receive surface asphalt
