Beatrice “Bea” Raber Goldsberry
Beatrice “Bea” Raber Goldsberry, age 88, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 8:53 a.m. at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.
Beatrice better known as Bea to her family and friends was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a quality control secretary for Firestone Steel Company, which is known now as Accuride Corporation. After 21 years of service, she retired and accepted a position as office manager for Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. There she worked side by side with her husband Jerry. In 1997 they decided to move and built their dream home on Lake Barkley in Eddyville, KY. She joined the Lyon County School System working in the cafeteria serving lunches. While living there they joined Kattawa First Baptist Church where she met many close friends. She and Jerry spent 14 years at the lake before deciding to come back home to Henderson. Bea always spoke of those being the happiest 14 years of her life. She was a volunteer for St. Anthony’s Hospice after her husband passed. She wanted to give back the care and love she was extended during her time of need.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents Levi and Lilia Raber, her husband Jerry Goldsberry, sisters: Olive Polley, Frances Pearce, Elizabeth Ann Lewis, and Juanita Lane, and brothers Richard Raber, George Raber and Carl Raber.
Bea is survived by her sons Michael Goldsberry (Pam) of Henderson, KY and Brad Goldsberry (Sherri) of Henderson, KY; sister Janice Mossman of Cadiz, KY; grandchildren Dustin Goldsberry (Stacy), Megan Nantz (Alex), and Jill Copeland; great-grandchildren: Jayce, Mavlynn and Lynkin Goldsberry, Samuel and Jensen Nantz.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bea’s Life Celebration from 12:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the funeral home. Reverend Carl Nelson will officiate. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
