Franklin Lloyd Sawyer
Franklin Lloyd Sawyer, age 92, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:55 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Homeplace of Henderson under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Lloyd was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a serviceman for Bell South Telephone Company and retired after 31 ½ years. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was always eager to help anyone in need. Lloyd was sweet spirited and a talented wood worker. He built cabinets and repaired many pieces of furniture.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents John and Rubenia Sawyer, his wife of 60 years Bettye Sawyer, brothers Bobby Sawyer and Starling Sawyer, and sisters Martha Dean and Sue Gayle.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter Kim Smith (Jerry) of Henderson, KY; sons Lloyd D. Sawyer of Fishers, IN and Brent Sawyer (Amy) of Owensboro, KY; brother Silas Sawyer of Hebbardsville, KY; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lloyd’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Rick O’Daniel officiating. Entombment will follow at the Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Olivia Carolene Wallace
Olivia Carolene Wallace, age 37, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 8:08 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Deaconess Union County Hospital.
Olivia was a 2006 graduate of Henderson County High School. She attended U.S.I and graduated from Henderson Community College, where she was a 4.0 student and a member of the Dean’s List. Olivia was the office manager for the Henderson County Water Department where she has worked for over 10 years. She attended One Life Church. Olivia’s daughter Clara was her pride and joy, and she was very involved in her sports activities at Spottsville Elementary School. She was lovingly known by her nieces and nephews as “ Aunt E-Uh” and she loved her family, friends, and fur babies.
Olivia was preceded in death by her daughter Madalyn Carolene Shelton, her father Larry Wayne Shelton, grandmother Lucille Shelton, and her great-grandparents Harry and Charlotte Felty.
Olivia is survived by her daughter Clara Wallace of Henderson, KY; parents Carolene Denton (Jeff) of Benton Harbor, MI; partner Brandon Shutt and his son Wyatt of Henderson, KY; grandmother Brenda Young of Henderson, KY; brothers Marcus Shelton (Melissa) of Evansville, IN and Kyle Shelton (Jama) of Morganfield, KY; step-sister Vicki Clements (Eric) of Union County, KY; step-brother Scott Denton (Tandy) of Henderson, KY; half-sister April Shelton (Monica) of Dallas, TX; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to Olivia’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the funeral home with Brother Jason Cowan officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
